Description

AB-001 or 1-pentyl-3-(1-adamantoyl)indole is a designer drug that was found as an ingredient in synthetic cannabis smoking blends in Ireland in 2010 and Hungary and Germany in 2011. It is unclear who AB-001 was originally developed by, but it is structurally related to compounds such as AM-1248 and its corresponding 1-(tetrahydropyran-4-ylmethyl) analogue, which are known to be potent cannabinoid agonists with moderate to high selectivity for CB2 over CB1The first published synthesis and pharmacological evaluation of AB-001 revealed that it acts as a full agonist at CB1 (EC50 = 35 nM) and CB2 receptors (EC50 = 48 nM). However, AB-001 was found to possess only weak cannabimimetic effects in rats at doses up to 30 mg/kg, making it less potent than the carboxamide analogue APICA, which possesses potent cannabimimetic activity at doses of 3 mg/kg.

Top Cannabinoids Shop is a reliable source of AB-001 of very high purity, with guaranteed delivery to specified address anywhere in the world. Please note that local restrictions or regulations could apply to this chemical and verify its current legal status before placing an order. The product may only be used for controlled scientific research under strict supervision of qualified laboratory personnel and is not approved for pharmaceutical or veterinary purposes. Any kind of application outside of in vitro experiments represents a breach of our policies and could have potentially hazardous consequences.

It was first reported in Russia and Belarus in January 2014, but has since been sold in a number of other countries. It is the indole core analogue of 5F-AMB. Synthetic cannabinoid compounds with an indole-3-carboxamide or indazole-3-carboxamide core bearing a N-1-methoxycarbonyl group with attached isopropyl or t-butyl substituent, have proved to be much more dangerous than older synthetic cannabinoid compounds previously reported, and have been linked to a large number of deaths in Russia, Japan, Europe and the United States
